Thursday 14th January

A big week for me at the hospital!
I went to hospital on Monday to have my tonsils 'shaved' (too big) and my adenoids removed (well Nadia and daddy don't have any so why should I?!). That meant going to GOSH in central London, and mummy staying overnight whilst I recovered.

On my way to theatre
I was all tears when I arrived at Euston train station, but by the time I saw the play specialist I had calmed down a lot, and daddy arrived from work before I went into theatre. By this time I was quite relaxed (and trying not to think about food as I had been fasting since 8am).

The operation in the afternoon went very well, but naturally I was very upset when I woke up. I couldn't stop coughing which was freaking me out a lot, particularly because it hurt so much when I did, and my mouth and throat really hurt. I went up to the Peter Pan ward and we discovered that I had missed dinner, so daddy went on a hunt to get me something soft and soothing to eat.

At last a bit of food - this is better!
I got some pasta (with butter and cheese of course), and then for afters, I got a massive ice cream which I devoured and took my time with...

Me and my massive ice cream
I started to feel better already, albeit with a croaky voice. I struggled to get a good night's sleep because I woke up every time someone checked the needle in my hand (I was on a drip because my blood pressure was a bit low). But mummy got next to no sleep on the plasticy chair-cum-bed next to me.

Luckily the doctors said I could go home when my medicine was ready, but because of the junior doctors strike it took ages, so we didn't get back home until the middle of the afternoon.

Nadia was very pleased to see me, and it was lovely to see nana and grandad again - it was nice to be home. I've spent the rest of the week relaxing and playing at home as I am not allowed to go to school until next week as it would not be good if I caught any bugs.

I'm feeling loads better now - so roll on the weekend!

Thanks for all your lovely messages of support. Hopefully the op will help me breathe and hear better (and get rid of those lumps in neck)!

Ta ra!

Friday 30th October: 6!

A birthday moment at Spaceport in Leasowe on the Wirral
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!! I finally made it....I am 6! I spent my birthday on the Wirral at nana and grandad's.

Naturally I woke up early, eager to open my presents. I loved every moment of opening the presents with lots of 'I can't believe it' and 'It's what I always wanted' moments!

It's my birthday - love spending it with big sis
Getting very excited opening my pressie from mum and dad

It's never too early for birthday cake

After a spot of lego building, we went to Spaceport - and watched a film about astronauts on the ceiling!
Nadia in a wormhole!

There were loads of hands on things that we loved playing with
We couldn't stop laughing at this two-way mirror

Great fun at Spaceport!
Fortunately, just around the corner was my fave place - New Brighton. It was warm enough to pootle around on the beach and visit the pirate ship. We then went to the arcade and the fun fair, before ending the day at Prezzo (made a change from Tring!).

Saturday 17th October

I don't mean to frighten you....

It was the 17th October and I was already celebrating my birthday. What's all that about?! I shared it with Gemma and Ava at a place called Lynx Gym just outside of Aylesbury. Basically one hour of jumping, bouncing, diving and running around, before an hour of eating and shouting in a room you couldn't swing a cat in - perfect!

My birthday mates at Lynx Gym - you can spot my sissy in there somewhere!
Balance beam...

Nadia dives into a pool of foam sugar cubes

Swinging to and fro...

More hanging around

Happy birthday to me!

Sunday 21st December

Angel No. 1
I loved my first proper nativity now I'm in Reception. I was the main angel, which meant I had four (4!) lines to learn and a couple of times I was centre stage! When I was side of stage and doing the singing bits I was very close to daddy, so I couldn't stop acting silly. Mummy and daddy and grandma came to see me, and they were all very proud. Here are the highlights...

Hope that's got you in the Christmas spirit. Happy holidays!

Thursday 30th October: I am 5!

Guess who loves being 5?
What better way to celebrate your 5th birthday than waking up in Nottingham with your sis and cousin, before a trip to Nottinghamshire's best and strangest theme park?! Here are the highlights of my special day....

Waking up (or not as in daddy's case) in Aunty Heather's bed and opening pressies
After a superstar breakfast of pancakes, we set off to Sundown Adventure park. It had a feel to it a bit like Gulliver's Land, only with less rides, but way more weird and wacky places to explore (and loads of buttons to push everywhere!)...

On what can only be described as....a Christmas ride with Cousin Maia

Down the rapids with Maia and Aunty Heather

Getting trapped in a gigantic shark's jaw

The Wild West at Sundown...

Nadia and Maia take aim

'I Can't Believe It's Not....Gulliver's'

One of the wacky areas at the park - this one all about sweets with loads of wafty smells all over the shop!

More liquorice!

Nadia and Aunty H in the mint/choc room (with smells to match)

We enjoyed the chance to bop

On the runaway train ride

What's up with him? Think he needs more sleep!

The Fairytale land - giant books and houses reflecting each story

Down the yellow brick road with some friends from the Wizard of Oz

Hanging out with the Hump-meister

Things got a bit rude at the echoing wishing well

Nadia and Aunty H on a ride

Robin Hood - famous around these parts apparently

3 Little Pigs

Inside the pigs house they had a piano and things

A disco game in the Angry Birds Land

2 angry birds

If pigs could fly

He should get some clothes on

Messing about - well it's my birthday

Mummy dropped her phone (and we lost Nadia for a bit!)

Not guilty! Did you expect us to smile?!

Exhausted, we went back to Maia's and there was just enough time for left over Olaf cake (and more!)

I had a great day, got some great presents (with still lots more to open at home when I got back to Tring). Thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes....I think 5 is going to be just fine.
