Monday 31st January

How d'ya like dem apples?!

How are ya? I've been spending most of January screaming the flat down still - you have to have a lot of patience!

I finally had my physio appointment last week and thankfully things aren't too bad from my foot/standing perspective (mummy and daddy had been a bit worried as when I stand up my ankles and toes aren't straight on the floor).

'Serious' look

The physio said that although I had poor muscle tone in my legs which was what was causing me to stand funny, I could correct this over time if I wore the right shoes.

The right shoe(s)!

So mummy went out and bought me a pair straight away - they are very sturdy and come up quite high on my ankle. I have to wear them at least 50% of the day and I have lots of exercises that mummy and daddy need to do so that I learn to correct my feet to stand properly. That sounds like progress to me!
Trying out my new shoes

As we were finally all healthy again my big sis' was able to go to Shooting Stars last Thursday which meant I could go to Kingston with mummy. I got to meet Yacine and Sofia for lunch which was ace (and a bit messy).

Yacine, Sofia and I 'do lunch' in Kingston

So that's it really - it's been a quiet January. Sometimes you just have to kick back and grow a little...

My best 'growing' face

A spot of lunch - if it's not pureed and on a bit of bread or toast, I'm on it!

And finally a couple of vids of me drawing with mummy whilst Naddy was asleep..

Sunday 16th January

'Feel sorry for me' face

Finally things seem to be getting back to normal with me and the rest of the family after a terrible start to the year.

Quite literally welcoming in the New Year with mummy (Jools Holland's show in the background)

As you know I hadn't been great over Christmas and that continued into the new year. One moment I was feeling slightly better and was looking better, the next I was coughing and spluttering again and generally being incredibly miserable (most unlike me).

A brief respite from feeling rubbish

Luckily for the last week (when Naddy has been worse) I have at least been sleeping through the night again. However I have taken to clinging to mummy's leg most of the time (that is when I am not asleep and not being cuddled) and I am still spending most of the day wailing if I don't have food in my hand or there's isn't a decent dvd on tv. In other words I am seriously testing mummy's patience. Daddy has been a bit ill this week and when he went to the doctors the doctor seriously said to him that a lot of kids had this virus that made them cough a lot and generally very miserable. So it looks like that's probably what I have - the miserable virus!

You'd never think I had it in me, eh?

So we've all been lying low, not doing much, in fact I don't think I've been out of the flat in two weeks (apart from a visit to the doctor with mummy). However bugs seem to be subsiding so mummy and daddy can start worrying about other things such as my standing - they've noticed for some time now that I stand really funny on one of my feet. It really isn't comfortable to look at as it sort of bends and curls in the wrong direction. I was supposed to have a physio appointment before Christmas but it had to be cancelled so it is now not until the week after next. In mummy and daddy's view it can't come soon enough. Still it doesn't stop me from pulling up on anything and everything.

I think I remember seeing mummy do something like this....

Not very good hygiene and strange 'anxious' pose

Lets hope for a better second half to January.

Love,
