Monday 2nd January 2012

Hi all and a happy new year to you! I've got lots of stuff to share with you but as you can imagine after a long break ('oop north') there's lots to do to get back to normal, so until I can get more piccies sorted, here are some vids to be getting on with. Enjoy!

Before anyone gets the chance to show me, I'm off opening the big present at Nana and Grandads

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Friday 23rd December

Hopefully the santa hat will distract from my dirty face

The major theme of the month seems to be 'coughing'. With Nadia and Daddy having a bit of a tough time (and mummy as a result having to look after them both), I managed to join the coughing gang, but unlike the other two am still full of beans and happy pootling around.

You can't beat a bit of sisterly Chrimbo love

Daddy took a couple of days off early in December and after dropping Nadia off at nursery we went with mummy to a lovely pub nearby, and I relished the attention for once! Mummy and I went back there with Grandma Moira when she came to stay for a few days - its a very cosy place.

Enjoying the attention at The Plough in Northfields

Because of Nadia's sickness, we've not been able to get out much (although I've managed to get out Chrimbo shopping with both mummy and daddy seperately and loved it!). However mummy did take me to Dusty Does Disco at another local pub last Sunday. There was lots of hi energy music and a big red dog (that's Dusty) who I loved - I had a fab time and mummy did too as it wasn't all nursery rhymes.

And finally I understand what daddy does for a job...

Are you a bingo caller, daddy?

And I had a great time at Oscar's earlier in the month...

I'm feeling really festive now and looking forward to Christmas - Nadia's even been teaching me some songs she learned from nursery (also now she is off she is running round chasing me more which I love and she makes me laugh).

Merry Christmas!

Monday 5th December

Ooh you can't beat a bratwurst!

It's been an exciting few weeks despite the constant coughs in the Connelly household and the now standard lack of sleep - even I have been suffering which is very unusual. Still it's not stopped us from getting out and about.
Nan and grandad come to stay

Nan and grandad came down on Thursday and it was nice to have their company (they braved it out on the sofas). We managed to get out to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park for the second time in a week, which meant more sausage and funfair rides, and we also nipped to the dinosaur museum again as it was nearby.
I got to see Santa at Winter Wonderland (he spoke to me, even though he looks a bit unreal here!)
Cruising around in my new shoes in the dinsoaur museum
Zipping along on a ride in Winter Wonderland (Nadia was too scared to come on!)

On Sunday when nana and grandad went home we decided to go and listen to some carols in nearby Osterley Park. It hasn't rained a lot here of late, so we were a bit caught out when we arrived in the car park and the heavens opened. Anyway we soon got to listen to some carols - inside at first and then outside in the courtyard where I was happy wandering around just splashing in the puddles.

Splish splash (nice carols!)

I'm afraid the order of the photos goes a bit haywire from here - I'm still trying to figure out how to use the new blogging format. Hope you enjoy the photos...

Where's the party?
Well it looks like Christmas has well and truly arrived - mummy and daddy have decorated the flat, and the Christmas tunes are on (and with two singing toys that I like to press the buttons on constantly some songs will be heard a lot more than others!). Daddy has been off a couple of days so I had a special pub lunch treat with just mummy and daddy today at a nearby pub (where I wolfed down a bowl of chips not long after my lunch at home).

See ya soon!

Saturday 19th November

Might have been getting a little too cosy on the birthday hug
Hi there,

You're probably well up to speed with what's been happening on my sis' blog. We've not been up to much since my birthday and I've been a bit poorly the last few days, culminating in a very screamy night for all last night. In fact mummy has just about had enough of my screaming this week - I haven't stopped, but then I've not been eating properly and like my sis have been coughing a lot (I blame daddy).

Happy birthday Isla!

So here's a few piccies that I've been meaning to upload for a while....hope you like 'em xx

Sunday 30th October

I'm 2!

I turned 2 today and to celebrate I had a party!

Getting ready for the party with a birthday sing song in the morning

Mummy and daddy hired a cafe opposite a playground on the outskirts of Ealing in a place called Boston Manor Park. It won't surprise you to hear that there was a Halloween theme, but luckily I wasn't dressed in an orange binbag like last year.

Me, Nadia and a skeletal Oscar on the sofa in the cafe

We were a bit sceptical at first as we knew the cafe could not be closed to the public and when we arrived there were quite a few commoners in the cafe. I think once they heard the nursery rhymes they realised they were best out of there.

Me, mummy and daddy in the cafe

Mummy was a star and prepared all the food for the kids, daddy got away with blue murder by having the slightly easier job of making sure his ipod had some happy tunes on it and that he picked up everyone's tea and coffee orders (he didn't even have to make the drinks as there were volunteers to do that!).

Looks yummy, thanks mummy!

Mummy baked me a lovely cake, and I got lots of lovely presents from everybody who came.

Cuddles off Aunty Vero and Uncle Tordy and Oscar get scarey

People came from all over the shop. Grandma Moira came down from Manchester and Billy, Tom and Louise came from Worcester via Nottingham (we haven't seen them in ages).

Billy and Louise rock out on top of the play boat, with Nadia and Yacine underneath

Louise climbs up the climbing frame in the playground opposite the cafe

...and ends up with a spider on her nose (courtesy of daddy - she was not terribly impressed)

The playground opposite the cafe was ace - it meant we could tear around in between the food and the party games (the sun didn't come out I'm afraid).

Isla and Sofia in the playground

Mummy chats to Emma (Billy, Louise and Tom's mum)

I had a great time with Isla (she's 2 in two weeks)

Isla and her daddy, Bruno...

...and look how baby Ben is growing up - he's 7 months old now! (he was a bit under the weather, but still looked great!)

Feeding time for the monkeys

Everyone wants to be on TV (no surprise to see my sis in this one!!)

Isla and Yacine on the fort thing
Sofia and Yacine looking great in their outfits

Uncle Tordy and Jim catch up - they go back years you know!

Billy daringly tries to climb along the M4 (elevated section)

Scarey biscuits!!

All in all it was a great party and I spent lots of time walking around in circles - I think I might have covered a good half marathon.

Back home we were exhausted. I was able to open more pressies (including a tin of cat food from the Blandens - very funny!). I'd opened most of my cards and pressies in the morning - basically, I got a lot of help from Nadia opening them, and then she took them off me anyway, but I'll be making sure I get my use from them, mark my words.

Opening my pressies with sis this morning

Grandma Moira gives me a hand

So thank you everyone who sent me a card or a pressie or came to my 'do' or sent me nice wishes. It was a special day and I think I just about 'get' that it was my day.

Me, me, me!

Happy Halloween for tomorrow everyone!

Beanbag (now 2 don't you know) xx
