No bruises or scars (lucky for daddy)Hello peeps! Daddy was in charge on Saturday as mummy went up to Manchester. Less than an hour after mummy had left, daddy was nebulising my sister when he heard a loud thud on the laminate on the floor next to him in the lounge. I had somehow managed to throw myself off the sofa to dive head first on to a very hard surface.

Steady...
Daddy looked very, very shocked at first and in fairness my screeching when he picked me up didn’t exactly offer him any comfort. Anyway, thank goodness for NHS direct – a nice nurse called him back quite quickly and went through all the checks and by then I was raising a little smile anyway. Daddy has been so worried that he couldn’t even tell mummy until after the weekend in case she started worrying too much.
However I have been guzzling and sleeping as normal, although by Sunday night I had developed a little bit of a cold which made me grumpier than normal during the night.

I was weighed with my sis on Friday and I am doing pretty well – I’m now over 9lbs, so definitely going in the right direction.
Mummy and I went to St Mary’s hospital on Friday to get the low down on my kidneys. The consultant there drew us a nice diagram to explain what was going on.

They are happy that the swelling (dilation) is going down but they are still unclear as to where the extra ureter is going so they still need to do some more tests which have exciting acronyms like DMSA & MCUG. This will probably happen in March.
Stay tuned!
